Thanos is a Senior Corporate Finance & Investment Banking executive with over 20 years acting career in the field.
During his career he has been involved, leading Senior Advisory Teams, in a number of high-profile Investment Banking & Corporate Finance Advisory projects, and has led numerous M&A deals both buy & sell side, the Evaluation of strategic projects on behalf of the Greek State and Systemic banks and was involved in the capital raising (equity & debt) for SMEs, with a total transactions value that exceeds €2bn.
Prior to founding Geneval, Thanos was an Equity Partner and Director of the Financial Services unit of DBC – the largest Greek consulting Company – for 15 years, leading a team of 30+ consultants. Indicative projects include the (at the time) largest Debt Evaluation, Restructuring and Refinancing Advisory Services package for SMEs on behalf of Greek Systemic Banks (total debt exposures of over €9bn), the Fund management advisory contract for a €35m Urban Development Fund (financed by the European Investment Bank) and the Buy-Side Advisory project for the €115mn private placement in the Share Capital Increase of a Greek Bank.
Thanos keeps and manages an important local and international network of corporations, entrepreneurs, investors and expert service providers, bringing forward unique business and investment opportunities and leads and co-ordinates large, diverse and multi-skilled teams towards a successful financial deal closing.
Kostas is a Senior Executive, Entrepreneur and Corporate Advisor with over 25 years experience in diverse business sectors and multinational group structures.
Prior to joining Geneval he was the Managing Partner of Lyktos Group – a Private Equity Investment Group and Family Office of Sallas Family investing mainly in Tourism, Energy and Financial Services. The group held among others the controlling stake in Pancretan Bank, a minority stake in Wealth Financial Services - the largest independent Asset Manager in Greece and the majority stake in Semeli Wineries where he served as CEO for 2 years.
Kostas was previously the General Manager of Village Roadshow Group (Greece), where he also held the CFO position. As General Manager and CFO, he managed the development of 8 new multiplex centres and managed and structured investments exceeding €150m. He has negotiated and set up credit facilities (Project Financing or Revolving Facilities) in excess of €60m. He also led the negotiations with buyers, previous owners and creditors and structured the sale of the Group to a private equity firm.
He has also been involved in Strategic Advisory roles and held positions of Interim CEO or CRO in SMEs in various sectors, like, Pharmaceuticals, Retail (Sports Apparel), Facilities Management et.al.
Kostas has also had a successful entrepreneurial activity in the fields of F&B, Tourism Services (Yachting and Airport Services) and Real Estate (Vacation Villas).
